Training Office

The Swiss hotel trade promotes, attracts and provides employment for the best staff and the most innovative managers, finding a permanent place for them in the industry.

The excellent standard of the “Profession and Training” division’s courses at the Swiss Hotel Association’s approved and partner schools is recognized nationally and internationally. The courses play a key role in maintaining the Swiss hotel trade’s sphere of action and allowing it to continue growing. 

 

The Bellinzona Training Office

hotelleriesuisse Ticino is very active on the training front. In fact, our association has an office dedicated entirely to this sector: the Professional Training Office in Bellinzona, run by Marco Boggia in partnership with Daniela Prat.

The main activities carried out by the Office include:

• Personal guidance, intended to provide support for professional decisions and the possibility for ongoing and career-related training. 
• Organisation of information afternoons regarding the profession, run in partnership with GastroTicino, with the support of our member hotels.
• Open door events for middle school classes in the Canton, in partnership with the Hotel and Tourism Secondary School in Bellinzona.
• Organisation of the “vivihotel” training camp, which enables the young participants to experience and absorb the air of a real hotel over 5 days of full immersion.
• Training for apprentices at the hotelleriesuisse Hotel School in Tenero.
• Organisation of “gastronomic cooking” and “catering management” specialisation courses.

Annual awards presented to a selection of hotel secretaries and apprentices in the sector. A special prize is given to students in each profession who recorded the best average mark in their diplomas.

Partnership with GastroTicino in the field of ongoing training. This partnership enables members to access GastroTicino courses at favourable rates, thus boosting the quality of their work and the skills of partners and directors.
